CELEBRITIES ALSO WEAR BRACES

If you visit virtually any school throughout the country, you will find hundreds of children with braces attached to their teeth. This doesn’t mean that adults don’t wear braces. They do. There are so many options available for adults who want straighter teeth and better smiles and who don’t have to wear unsightly braces to achieve straighter teeth and a sparkling smile.

Ceramic braces are also commonly worn by celebrities as they are tooth-colored and are not so visible when placed in the mouth. The celebrity actor Tom Cruise, while attending the premier performances of the 2002 film “Minority Report,” wore ceramic braces. The actress Faith Hill has also worn ceramic braces, too.
Clear aligners are commonly used as well and are fitted in the mouth for a specified period of time so that each aligner gently and slowly pushes the teeth into the most desired shape. The number of aligners fitted will depend on how crooked the teeth are. But they are almost invisible, which is why celebrities like Justin Bieber and Katherine Heigl chose to straighten their teeth by selecting the clear aligner option.
Clear aligners aren’t an instant solution as they don’t have quite the same ability to make corrections to the bite. As they are not so well bonded to the teeth, it is also too easy for the recipient to remove them which then means the job they are intended to do is delayed.
Lingual braces are often used by people in high profile positions as they are placed on the inner side of the teeth and are therefore hard to see. Kate Middleton and Miley Cyrus, whose smiles are of great importance, reportedly use these types of braces. However, they are not so good for singers, as they may interfere with the movement of the tongue.

Celebrities obviously have more options available to them as the price is of not such a great concern to them, but they still need to discuss possible options with their orthodontist so that their teeth are straightened in the way they require, the treatment doesn’t interfere with their day to day work and the braces they use are not easily seen by their audience.

Whichever method they choose still means that they will have to wear a retainer once the teeth have been straightened as this prevents the teeth reverting to their original position. These need only be worn at night so do not have any effect on visual appearance.

In the end it doesn’t matter if a person who wears braces is a child who has crooked teeth or a celebrity who wishes to improve their smile the same options are available to both groups of people as the desired outcomes are just the same. It doesn’t mean that if a person is a celebrity that they automatically have a perfect set of teeth. They may just have more money to choose a treatment option that is not easily visible to an audience or an onlooker.
